The HP Touchsmart 320 PC CMOS battery is located next to the memory inside the case. Remove 2 screws on the back bottom left and right corners. carefully pry up the left and right sides of the case. open the silver cover for the battery, and the CR2032 battery is to the left of the memory. make sure you put the new one in the same way as the old one. replace the back the same way you took it off. line everything up and use considerable force to push the back, back on. replace the screws. reboot, hit esc and go in to setup to reset the time and other settings. I cannot help with what those settings will be.
The Touchsmart 310 is a bit more difficult.
remove these 5 screws from back.
remove black shiny plate, and 4 screws from stand, then remove stand.
remove the dvd drive, power the machine up briefly and press eject, then power it off. loosen the screws and pull the drive out. carefully pry the plastic apart all the way around the back cover.
The battery is located under the metal shield where the arrow points.
remove as many screws from the shield as you need to carefully pry up the shield. some wires need to be briefly relocated. replace the CR2032 by pushing against the side nearest the memory and it should pop out. take note of which side is down, and put the new battery in the same way.
carefully replace the shield, and all screws in their same location. there is a black screw that is in a specific place. make sure to reattach the black ground wires removed and any wires displaced.
re-assemble in reverse order. make sure to get the case snapped back in place properly. reboot, hit esc and go in to setup to reset the time and other settings. I cannot help with what those settings will be.
I can offer no other help.
